Leader: Bryan Wild
Waitangi day saw 8 Parawai cyclists riding up to Te Horo in search of a cup of coffee … whilst on the ride we enjoyed the usual banter and chat as we basked in the warm early morning temperatures.
We pretty much stayed with the expressway cycle path and branched off at Te Hapua Road, taking the back loop towards Te Horo Beach Rd.
We then cycled up and over the expressway at Hyde Park and picked up the track on the eastern side of the highway and cycled south, with the wind now at or backs.
At Peka Peka Road we headed towards the beach and along Paetawa & Rutherford Roads, making our way to the ‘Coastie’ coffee stop where, despite how busy it was, we had a reserved table ready for us and we all enjoyed yet more conversation and banter.
We dispersed after an hour or so and each made their own way back to their respective homes. A great way to spend a morning …. with friends and with exercise thrown in for good measure.
Those on the trip were:
Brandon Holman, Bryan Wild, Chris Keating, Dave Cox, Graeme Richardson, Paul Michl, Susan Robertson, Yingjun Shelton
Currently there is no photo album for this trip.
