Parawai Tramping Club

Club nights are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Meetings are usually held at the Kapiti Primary School (opposite the Police Station in Paraparaumu) starting at 7:30pm.

The club holds an annual photo competition.
This is usually held in August. For this year's date go to the Club Night Programme
We only have digital entries for the photographic competition, and they are submitted using the entry form (Jotform) which can be accessed by members only.

The categories are:

• Landscape above the bushline category code - LAB
• Landscape below the bushline category code - LBB
• People and action       category code - PAA
• Camp and hut life       category code - CHL
• Flora and fauna        category code - FAF
• Overseas trips         category code - OST

Note: Members must be logged in to access the Jotform.

Rules

You are allowed 6 entries, one for each category. You can enter a maximum of 4 images on one Jotform and you can open a new Jotform any number of times to submit additional images.

The file size must be between 1MB and 5MB.
Please name all image (photo) files as follows:
category code    your name    image title
e.g. LBB Jo Bloggs Sunny Day

By entering images, the photographer has:

• given consent to enter the photo into the FMC photo competition
• given consent for the image and name to be used for any publicity
• confirmed that the image has not been digitally manipulated other than cropping, sharpening, tonal/exposure adjustment or stitching of panoramas
• confirmed that the image was taken in New Zealand other than category 6
• confirmed that the image was taken within the current or preceding calendar year
• has obtained permission from any identifiable person in the image for it to be shown publicly

Entries close on 15 July 2026.
The judges will view the images from 16 July and will make their decisions prior to the competition club night.

Photographic Competition Prize Club Night

Those attending the club night we will be able to enjoy the images together on a large screen.
Winners are announced on the night.
There will be a winner and runner up for each category and an overall winner.
Club members will be able to make their viewer’s choice on the night.

Every year, the club publishes its own calendar.

It is a full-colour calendar with one month per pagepage, including photos of club trips.
It is available in two sizes, A3 or A2.

Indicative Cost

Price to be confirmed once orders are received. You will be advised of the actual cost, and payment will be required before we commence printing.

A3 is $15-20 each
A2 is $45-60 each

Use your surname in the reference field and "Calendar" in the details field.

Receiving Options

The calendars should be available for pick up at the club night on Wednesday, 2nd December.
If you cannot attend the meeting, we strongly recommend that you arrange for someone to collect your calendar on your behalf.
If the calendar cannot be collected on the night, other delivery options will be arranged individually (at your cost, if applicable).
