Northern Kaimanawa's Labour Weekend 26-28 October
A great trip in the Northern Kaimanawa's. Saturday - From Te Iringa campsite on the Clements Mill road up to Te Iringa and into Tiki Tiki Stream. Then down this stream to the Kaipo River and down to Oamaru Hut. Then up the Oamaru River for an hour to camp. Sunday - Up the Oamaru River to the Maungaorangi track junction. Along this track over Maungaorangi, through Waiatupuritia Saddle and into Cascade Stream to camp. Monday - Down Cascade Stream to Cascade Hut. Then down the Tauranga Taupo River with a side trip see the old Stanfields Whare. Then up and along the Hinemaiaia Track to the relocated cars at Clements Roadend Campsite.
