Organiser:Peter D
Phone:021 328 471

Classic trip behind Queenstown.
The planned itinerary is:
13th March – Fly To Queenstown (12.20 flight) and get to Glenorchy.
14-16 – Earnslaw Burn (tents required, middle day is day trip to head of valley from campsite).
17-21 – Rees Dart.
22 Glacier burn day walk.
23-24 Sugarloaf-Rockburn (tents required).
25 – day walk if we haven’t had a rest day previously.
26 - Fly to Wellington (12.20 flight).
Given the level of interest in this trip it is probable that there will need to be more than 1 group. I will lead 1 group of 6-8 people.
To avoid too many people on the Rees Dart, it will work best to have 2nd group travel at a different time. (this will be at the discretion of the 2nd group leader).
It may also suit some people to not do all of the trips in the above itinerary.
When registering with Peter for the trip, it would be helpful to state your preferences, and also if you are willing to be the 2nd group leader.
